Shadow box card

imageHello world,

I have not been here for a while so I thought it was time to get crafting and here is the project that I thought I would share with you today.

you will need a sheet of 12×12 card stock. I used Stampin up new colour flirty flamingo for mine

next you need to score @ 3/4″ 1 1/2″ 2 1/4″ 3″ down all 4 side then you need to to add extra scoring lines @3 3/4″ 8 1/4″ to second score line only, you need repeat this on the opposit side. Next you need to cut down to the second score line (shorter score marks you made) then cut across at an angle to the 4th score line. Repeat for all extra score lines. Next cut down  to the 4th score line on the other two panels.

I left the two triangular pieces on but you can ct them off if you wish to do so, I found it looked neater tucking them in at the corners.image

sorry I forgot to mention that I samped my card stock first with love hearts but you could stamp whatever you like.

You can fold and burnish your score lines before or after cutting it really makes no difference.

To hold your shadow box together I suggest using red adhesive tape. (Stampin’Up no longer sell it but you can purchase it from any scrap booking supplier. You need 1/4″ to 1/2 inch) add your tape as close to the first score line as you can but not on it. You will also need to add some on the angles and on the outside of you tabs. I added my 6×6 dsp to the middle at this point. Next fold in to the second score line remove red layer off tape but do not throw it away as you will need these later to put over your angle pieces. (You cut them and place them at right angles across the sticky part) Fold in your card again making sure you keep it straight, very important. I worked on opposite sides which I thought made it easier. Once you have folded the first two pull the tape off your angled pieces and place cut pieces of red tape over sticky section fold over tucking tabs in as you go. Once happy with corners pull re sticky strips out and press down lightly (too hard and you will squash your box.image

Stamp card before scoring and cutting.

I used the flowers from the botanical blooms set which is carrying over to the new catalogue 2016-2017. The leaves are from there also. The flamingo is from Pop of Paradise stamp set which is in the new catalog, hearts stamp is from bloomin’ Love which was featured in occasions catalogue which is being carried over to new catalogue as well as Botanical blooms. I also used some winkastella to add some shimmer. DSP is from bloomin love paper stack which is no longer available.

I will make another one and take more photos and post up next week. It maybe a different colour. Having issues posting videos at the moment but Jan b has a good tutorial on YouTube her card size is different to mine.

Global Design Project entry #GPD008

I didn’t enter last weeks challenge as I just didn’t have the  time to complete my project in time.

My second challenge card entry
My second challenge card entry

This is my take on the challenge pic below.  I was using up some of the pieces left  from a diecut. I thought this weeks challenge was the perfect opportunity to use the left over pieces.

The flower in the centre was very fiddly to do. I am going to do a video on how to make these flowers next week.

Recipe for this card.

  1. Very vanilla cardstock – base card
  2. crumbcake cardstock
  3. DSP envelope paper watermelon wonder
  4. Delicate Doilly
  5. Cerry cobbler and basic black
  6. 1″ scallop  for flower
  7. Ink Cerry cobbler.
  8. Stamp from “Birthday Blossoms

I do hope that you like it.

More Stampin up Christmas cards

Hello world,

Here are more Christmas cards featuring Stampin Up stamps and Products. I can’t recomend these products highly enough.

20102015676 20102015677 20102015678 20102015679

This is what I created today using the stamp set “Holly Jolly Greetings”, it is such a beautiful set with many oprions for greetings singulary or used in combination. It is such a simple yet elegant stamp set. The combinations that you can create with this stamp set is only limited by your imagination. You can combine them with other Stamp sets to create even more extrordinary cards.

The ruffled effect on the two cards look quite difficult but it is very easy to do, once you get the hang of it.

There will be a video on how to make these cards and tags over the next few weeks and posted to Youtube, so keep following my blog for more details.

I’ll be trying out some new technology over the next few weeks as well so it should be interesting if what I plan on doing comes off or not.

Please stay tuned.

The card challenge this week I will definately have to think out of the square as I have no stamps in the theme so I will have use punches to come up with something farm related. I have a few ideas in mind, I’ll work on those Wednesday or Thursday.

The last card front in the photos is now finished and looks great along with more that I will be posting up in a few days time. stay tuned.

Please like follow, share and leave a comment. I am always interested in your thoughts.

You can also go to my website to shop for any of the items used and more.

If you would like to order any of these products. You can shop online in my shop at

I so love this little cutie she is just so adorable and was fun to create using my blender pens, inks and cardstock from, you guessed it Stampin up of course.

I may come back later and add instructions on how I created this card.

this is another little Christmas cutie from the same stamp set “Christmas Cuties”. I just loved making these cards yesterday. I love how everything co-ordinates together so well.

This little elf is just devine, I can almost hear him singing the song now, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”, can you. He was just so much fun to do as all of them are in this stamp set.

Another not so good pic of the elf.

Another card featuring the boy from the Christmas cuties stamp set. I will get back with instructions for him at a later date

Another not so good pic of this one either,

Christmas cuties 2015

My adorable little “Christmas cuties”, such a great Stamp set. I had so much fun with these and I have a watercolour set stamped out to colour very soon.

As I said jump over to my stampin up website if you want to order these or any other products from the annual catalogue as well.

Don’t forget to check to out the weekly specials as well. Lots of savings to be found there and the clearance items. There is some great trim there at a huge reduced price.

Thank you to all whom visited my blog and left a comment. All comments were very much appreciated.

I am loving the challenges at the moment and hope to continue entering for some time. I enjoy the Stampin up products and I can’t say a negative thing about them. The quality is fantastic.

I have done a video of my Christmas cards so far. It came out ok on my phone but as it is an older phone I am going to do one on my ipad tomorrow and pick the best one to upload onto my blog.

So stay tuned.

A few more items I have made using Stampin’ Up products. I will post better photos of these at a later date, so that you can see the tea set more clearly.

These were ready for a workshop party. That is why they are in the box ready to go.

I am working on doing some cupcakes to go with it.

Using tree builder punch. Will have to do another one as the wording was embossed in silver and it reflected with the flash.

I have modified this a bit so will post photo later, and do another gift card without the embossing so that it comes up more clearly.

This is one of many versions to come.

Looks like Stampin’ Up websites are still having issues with their site at the moment.I will keep trying later on today and tonight.

I’ll be working on more cards this afternoon and I will take photos and add to my blog tonight, all going well.

Promoting this stamp set over next few months.

Not a very clear picture here must have missed it in editing but you can see the most of the detail in this step card. It too reflects the new colours and products from Stampin' Ups new catalog. The verse on the card actually reads "Hope your day stacks up to be one good thing on top of another" another stamp from "The sprinkles of life stamp set. With 26 stamps to choose from in this set, the combinations are endless.
